Brunton ADC Pro Meter

Does anyone have experience with the Brunton ADC Pro?
I've only read about two design flaws with these meters. An unprotected impeller and a display which doesn't lend itself to quick glances.
Does anyone have a good amount of time using one of these meters? If so, how do you like it?
If these two "flaws" are the only major ones ... I can deal with them for the price. They seem to be running about $90 (on sale) ... which is significantly cheaper than a Kestrel 4000.

I didn't like the looks of the looks of the exposed prop so I purchased the Kestrel 4500. I haven't looked back since.
My apologies for not having any more to offer.

The propeller can be closed by simply rotating the entire Propeller unit, hence, closing it. Look at the PDF manual from the website you have a link to. Go to Chapter 11, it explains closing the propeller. Look pretty good to me. I had an early Brunton Sherpa. The propeller could close on it also. It seems to be as accurate as the Kestrel but it seems to take more time to adjust to the current conditions.
Good Luck!
