Someone on glocktalk told me that to clean a glock you can just put it in you're dishwasher and the dishwasher will totally clean it! you can even leave your othehr dishes in the washer and not worry about them getting hurt by the glock durt and stuff.

is thuis true and why?

Yes that is a method some people like to use, but in my opinion those people have little understanding of their weapon or how to clean it, and they are lazy at best.

Personally, I don't want lead anywhere close to my dishes, there's no way I'd put a pistol in the dishwasher at the same time as my dishes- or otherwise, really.

I've noticed you have a lot of questions about Glocks, but don't have any information in your profile. If you are near some of our other members, I'm sure they'd be glad to let you go shooting with them. You'll learn a lot more hands-on than you will on a forum.

Why would you want to?

Do you want to play with the health of your family?

Do you want to become a Darwinian Award candidate/recipient?

Don't do it.
